Great project that deserves saving. The boot lid looks good and the doors could be saved. Bonnet might be past it though. Try Mark at Mount Panels in Leeds as he had a good used bonnet in stock earlier in the year.
aaaaahhh, should have said....... got to collect a few bits... including new bonnet new front wings - never been fitted reapir panels to rear arches and inside rear doors got spare tailgate, second rear screen complete torsion bar set up to replace the broken one starter motor done today as mentioned new off side sill complete and various other bits and all for the cost of van hire!! bonus
cant wait to get stuck into it... just to hear her fire would make my day at the moment, but lots of work needed to her back up and about
i will indeed, but it going to a long process this is !!!!!! i will have to keep calm and do bit at a time as we all know, in our minds we have the cost of what it will be to do the car........ideally double it and the time you think it will take and we will get there,
but tkae time and do it properly is how iam thinking
The car certainly is a project, but the one advantage is that Clive had put aside the panels for it, so you're well ahead in that respect. Good tailgates are virtually impossible to find now, so another plus.
Let us know if it fires up in the morning, if it won't idle properly then remove and blow out the slow running jets, one on either side of the carb, brass slot head screw. They often block up on a car that's stood for a while.
