Another superb "end of term" visit to the National Classic Motor Show last weekend. I went on the Saturday on a superbly sunny Autumn day in the Midlands and it looked really busy.
Too many cars to mention really but I even managed to catch up, on the Simca Club stand, with the ex-Patrick Collection Talbot Samba cabriolet with which I previously had some involvement.
The ex- Patrick Collection Talbot Samba. The Collection had a Sunbeam Lotus too...and an... err...Talbot Tagora! All hidden away until sold (although I think that the Sunbeam was retained) at auction a few years ago.
I was able to chat with the Samba;s current owner and hopefully relayed some useful information about The Patrick Collection. Superbly kept now and well done to all on the stand.

The ex Patrick Collection Tagora SX was on the club stand last year, and in my opinion is is probably the best UK example left.
Tony, the owner was showing his Simca 1100 GLS Special this year, which has been in the club for several years with different owners, and has been to several european meets. The car has it's pic in this week's Classic Car Weekly, as part of the review of the show.
Those little yellow plugs - Ziebart Rust Proofing - the elixir of a long Simca life!
Quite nice details about this National Classic motor show. I am sure it was a great experience. I am also going to display three of my vintage cars in a motor show and also planning to use trade show displays for the promotion of our vehicle shop.
